Jean-Paul Philippon is the founder and President of JP Drafting. He has been fabricating structural steel since 1972, and understands the business from the inside out.

"About 20 years ago, I saw what could be done by computerizing and became one of the first companies to adopt CAD for structural steel detailing. Eventually I adopted XSteel - a custom CAD program developed specifically for structural and ornamental steel, which has become an industry standard.

I saw how I could provide increased speed of delivery, with a higher degree of accuracy, all at a price that was very competitive. If I deliver a superior product: accurate and detailed drawings, then the fabricators and erectors will be in a better position to be competitive."

John Legaree

Senior Steel Detailer

John Legaree is the Senior Steel Detailer and heads the team of drafting professionals that provide your detailed drawings.

In addition to coordinating the projects within the company, John liaises with architects, engineers, fabricators and erectors to ensure that the projects come in on-time and on-budget. His extensive experience in the field allows him to provide common sense solutions to real-world problems.

All projects must meet with John's strict guidelines of quality and workmanship. He is hands-on with the drafting and keeps his skills sharp through daily application.
